Who we are

MEC is a multi-disciplinary contractor which was established in 2014. The company emerged from its predecessor sole tradership Derek Smith t/a Carlton Construction which had traded since 1994. 

Our vision has always been to go beyond expectations and become a specialist contractor with a strong reputation built on delivery and excellence.

We are dedicated to establishing lasting relationships with our partners and clients by operating at the highest levels of performance and gaining trust by providing a high quality and professional service at all levels.

Our management team have extensive experience in the delivery of complex construction projects within the UK and around the world.

Several of our team have served in the Royal Engineers Reserve, (over 100 years combined service), and deployed on operations worldwide in often difficult conditions. Our combined civilian & military construction and engineering knowledge and skills, provides us with a unique and diverse outlook which enables us to deliver a wide range of quality projects, with often innovative solutions.
